Proposed change. Under the district’s 2026-27 Redefining Our Schools proposals, Forest Glen Middle would be repurposed: Coral Park, Forest Hills, James S. Hunt and Park Springs elementaries would add grade 6, and Coral Springs High would extend to grades 7-12. The School Board’s Oct. 6 workshop presentation (PDF) lists two other options: consolidating Forest Glen into Coral Springs, Lyons Creek and Ramblewood middle schools, or a performing arts program at Forest Glen to attract students, which families asked for. It also records community concern about putting middle school students on a high school campus. Nothing has been decided. The School Board’s final vote is set for Tuesday, Dec. 15, with families notified Dec. 16. Our Coral Springs schools guide has more.
