The 10.7-mile Sawgrass trail, Tall Cypress and Sandy Ridge preserves, park loops, the downtown ArtWalk and the city's e-bike rules, with hours and parking.
Last checked Oct. 8, 2026. Facts come from the City of Coral Springs parks directory and its e-bike rules. The city does not publish loop lengths for most park paths; where a distance is given below, it is the city’s figure. Parks and Recreation: 954-345-2200.
Coral Springs tags 10 of its parks and preserves as trails, from short neighborhood loops to a 10.7-mile route along the edge of the Everglades. Most are walking paths inside parks, where bikes are fine but e-bikes and scooters are not. For a longer ride, the city’s sidewalks and bike paths are open to bikes and, at a capped speed, e-bikes.

The long one: Sawgrass Trailhead
The Sawgrass Trailhead sits on Atlantic Boulevard just west of the Sawgrass Expressway, and Broward County operates it. The city describes a 10.7-mile point-to-point trail from it, generally considered easy and about three hours end to end, popular for birding and hiking. It is unpaved and unlit, and it is open 8 a.m. to sunset daily. Because it is point to point, plan on a ride back to your car or a there-and-back walk.

Biking and e-bike rules
Under City Ordinance 2025-11, as the police department explains it:
- E-bikes and motorized scooters may use sidewalks and bike paths, at no more than 15 mph, and 5 mph or less within 25 feet of a pedestrian.
- They are not allowed on sidewalks or paths inside city parks.
- An e-bike is 750 watts or less with working pedals and a top speed of 28 mph. Anything faster is a motorcycle (an “e-moto”): no sidewalks, a rider at least 16 with a motorcycle endorsement, and a license plate.
- Gas-powered mopeds and gopeds are banned from sidewalks and bike paths.
- In a bike lane, Florida law treats an e-bike like any other bicycle: ride with traffic and obey signals.
