Election Day

On Nov. 3 you must vote at your assigned polling place, which can differ from where you voted early. Find it with the county’s precinct finder.

Bring ID

Florida requires a photo ID with your signature. The Supervisor of Elections accepts, among others:

  • Florida driver’s license or Florida ID card
  • U.S. passport
  • Debit or credit card
  • Military ID or student ID
  • Retirement center, neighborhood association or public assistance ID
  • Veteran Health ID
  • Concealed weapon license
  • Government employee ID

If your photo ID has no signature, bring a second ID that does. Without ID you can still vote a provisional ballot, which the canvassing board reviews later.

Voting by mail

Ask for a mail ballot through the Voter Information Lookup by 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. Sign and date the envelope, and get it to the Supervisor of Elections by 7 p.m. on Nov. 3; a postmark is not enough. You can return it by mail, at a secure ballot drop box during early voting, or have a family member or friend deliver it. One person may drop off their own ballot, those of immediate family and two others.
